This is my version of asian bbq baby back ribs. Its an excellent recipe.
Ingredients:
Asian BBQ sauce
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup Hoy Sin sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 5 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
Asian Dry Rub:
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup 5 spice powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
How To:
- Remove the membrane from the ribs
- Mix the dry rub ingredients
- Sprinkle some olive oil on the spare ribs
- Applly the first coat of dry rub on the ribs
- Wait until the first coat gets moist and then apply a second coat
- Setup your smoker at 110 degrees celsiusor 225 fahrenheit
- Smoke the ribs for 4 hours
- Mix the ingredients for the sauce and let the sauce boil for 5 minutes
- Brush the sauce on to the ribs
- Let the ribs smoke for another 1/2 hour
